How to Create Your First Product: The Easiest Way to Start Making Sales in 1 Week or Less

Who else thinks that creating their first product is going to be a nightmarish process? Think you've got to spend weeks researching your market, spend thousands of dollars on supplies or have some sort of fancy pants system in place to have a high dollar product for sale before THIS month is complete?
The truth is, perfection is the enemy of achievement when it comes to most things marketing related, and the psychological obstacles that most creative people face when selling their first product are far greater than the real ones.
The truth is, regardless of whether you are an information marketer, coach or passion professional, there are only a few super simple steps to creating a product, and I'm going to share them with you below.
Step 1: Create a Content Cornerstone
This is the most important step... and it's simply a data dump, or an itemized list of all of the niche knowledge you have in your area of expertise. You basically sit down and write out each and every important aspect of your understanding of your marketplace or skill set, and when you are done... you'll have the basic blueprint for what you are going to sell.
Step 2: Organize your content cornerstone.
What you may find is, rather than ONE big product... you may have multiple smaller products that can evolve from your blueprint. For example, if I was doing this or the online entrepreneurial niche, "article marketing" and "list building" are subsets of the parent topic, but both probably would be better served (as would my audience) with their own dedicated tutorials, rather than covered more briefly in a larger product.
Note: The advantage of "niche-ing" down each part of your content cornerstone into it's own product is that it gives you MULTIPLE things to sell, much more quickly, and of course, if you do this properly, each sub segment is already organized as well. You can literally take one outline and have 4 or 5 products for sale in your first 30 days using this approach... and I challenge you to try it and prove me wrong!
Step 3: Write (or Record) Your Chapters
Quite simply, you are going to take your content cornerstone (the outline) and address each bullet point with either a written answer, or optimally... a recorded answer. You can literally record your product using a hosted audio service in 4 or 5 hours and have a product for sale for up to $100 bucks... AND offer real value to people who share your passion for a niche, but don't have your unique expertise or passion.
Remember, in the informational marketing business, people are much more likely to spend money on recorded material, especially more lengthy recorded material... making a $97 dollar 5 hour course a MUCH easier thing to sell (and create!) than a 200 page ebook.
Honestly? There are ways to optimize and improve the above, and to increase your efficiency and speed... but that IS the process, you CAN do this and if you truly have passion and an area of expertise, you CAN begin doing it today!
